The Director, Market Access, Patient Services and Reimbursement is responsible for serving as strategic partner and to assist in the development and execution of patient support services(HUB) and field reimbursement strategies to optimize patient access to Leukine® .  Reporting to the VP, Market Access, he/she will work closely with a cross functional group including Sales Leadership, Marketing, Trade, Compliance, Legal and external vendors among others to develop impactful strategies and tactics for patient services and reimbursement. 



  • Responsible for the development and implementation of field reimbursement and patient services strategies and tactics to meet customer and patient needs.

  • Build and manage Patient Service offerings with HUB vendor

  • Leads develop and execute the reimbursement and patient services strategies to streamline the reimbursement process and expedite time to therapy

  • Complete ongoing analysis of reimbursement program trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop unique solutions to provide improved patient services

  • Hire, train, and manage Directors of Corporate Accounts (DCAs) to provide highest level of support specifically around hospital and GPO contracts, pricing, pull-through, drug acquisition and patient services and reimbursement. 

  • Work directly with external patient services partner in implementing patient access programs and services including PAP and co-pay assistance programs.

  • Identify challenges and opportunities with payers and work with the Market Access team to develop strategies to address them

  • Work with Sales Leadership & Field team to develop meaningful pull-through programs for support services and payer initiatives

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of patient services, reimbursement, coverage issues through customer research, face to face meetings and KOL interactions

  • Serve as a content expert for all areas related to patient services and reimbursement and champion related materials through the PRC approval process

  • Provide appropriate access, training, education and support for DCA team, sales/sales management and providers.

  • Provide market feedback to cross functional teams on business trends, competitive updates, industry issues and opportunities related to patient services and reimbursement

  • Effectively manage external vendors as it relates to patient services

  • Develop and recommend program enhancements with the vendor(s) to ensure patients in need have access to therapy in a timely manner

  • Participates in special projects and perform other duties as required




  • Bachelor’s degree.  MBA or advanced degree desired but not required 

  • 10 years relevant experience including buy and bill; oncology preferred

  • At least 10 years of experience including buy and bill product launch; oncology preferred

  • Deep understanding of reimbursement processes & strategy, payer contracts, product procurement and pull through expertise

  • Solid problem solving, conflict management, project management and analytical skills

  • Ability to analyze complex situations to identify root cause and quickly create solutions with clear direction

  • Effectively work cross-functionally with a highly collaborative approach

  • Effective budget management experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Compensation will be comprised of a base salary, performance bonus, equity, and a profit sharing program.  PTx offers a competitive benefit program, including health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) matching program, and paid time off.
