PTx has recently acquired global rights to Leukine (Sargramostim). Leukine is the only licensed FDA-approved GM-CSF, and PTx is investing in Leukine to position it for growth. With Leukine, PTx acquired its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lynnwood and we are North of Seattle, just a few minutes from downtown (but far enough out of, traffic and high cost of living in the city!). The Information Technology (IT) Group is responsible for design, implementation, and support of Information Technology solutions in support of company goals and objectives.  This includes maintaining stable, qualified, validated, and highly available technology solutions.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and participates in implementing reliable innovative solutions.

  • Develops and executes strategy that optimizes application and computer systems performance.

  • Defines equipment requirements.

  • Ensures the integrity and security of data on all internal applications.

  • Analyzes trends associated with the assigned customer base and reports potential areas of risk or reward.

  • Develops and maintains documentation for all applications enhancements. Follows all change management processes.

  • Support the development and maintenance of Quality Standards and Policies.

  • Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.

  • Contributes to the completion of programs and projects. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

  • Represents the site as technical contact on contracts and projects and internally serves as an IT technical resource.

  • Ensure processes and procedures are updated to reflect industry changes and regulatory expectations and escalate issues that are at risk.

  • Support the development and maintenance of Quality Standards and Policies

LEADERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This role currently has no direct reports to manage, but they must embody considerable leadership skills to be successful (including effective intrapersonal and cross-functional communications both written and verbal, relationship building, agility and adaptability)

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading and working effectively in an environment with rapidly shifting and often contradictory demands and priorities.

  • Seeks opportunities to improve processes and systems, and to leverage technological innovation to increase quality/quantity outcomes.

  • Keeps current of emerging technology trends.

  • Possesses research and analytical skills sufficient to analyze problems in a multi- faceted way.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Can exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

  • Excels in highly collaborative, sometimes challenging, interactions with customers and peers.

  • Ability to effectively interface with vendors.

  • BA Computer Science or relevant field or a combination of technical training and relevant work experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with:

  • Compliant systems and change control management

  • Application/database disaster recovery

  • LIMS, ERP

  • Risk management systems /Stature

  • SME/application support for MasterControl and other quality systems

  • Oracle database management /DBA

 

Tools:

  • Oracle RMAN

  • SQL

  • SharePoint

  • System Development Life Cycle

  • Agile project methodology

 

Personal Attributes/Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated  strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability  to work  independently and multi-task in a fast, priority-switching environment

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

  • Experience in a regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, preferred)
